Aurora Historical Society

Come see me this Tuesday evening at the Aurora Historical Society!

Robert LoMascolo will speak briefly about his letterpress work at the Aurora Historical Society at 7pm on August 21st. This will include a discussion of “The Whistling Rock” a legend made up and printed in book form by Robert about the "lucky stones" found on our shores. The discussion will include a few typographic and printing oddities that are sure to be unusual if not bewildering.   The presentation will conclude with printing free Aurora “Regatta Day” postcards on an antique press and informal discussion. A few of Robert’s hand-made items will be available for purchase. Hope to see you there!

The Aurora Historical Society is located at 371 Main St, on the rear courtyard shared with Vintage Lighting. It is air conditioned and accessible to all.

In addition to Tuesday evenings (7-8:30 pm) and Saturdays (11 am to 1:00 pm), the museum is open at your convenience through the Docent-on-Call system: just call or text (315)-246-1130. Admission is always free.
